Will weeds grow through the pebbles?

Not when installed correctly with a proper weed-suppression membrane beneath. DECOBUG includes a commercial-grade geotextile membrane under every pebble installation as standard — not an optional extra. This membrane blocks weeds from germinating below while still allowing water to drain freely. Occasional surface weeds can blow in and germinate on top of pebbles, but these are easily removed and far less frequent than in bare garden beds.

How much pebble coverage do I need?

As a general guide, pebbles should be laid at a minimum depth of 50mm (5cm) to provide effective weed suppression and a full, quality appearance. We calculate the exact quantity required for your area and include it in your quote — so you’re not guessing at the nursery and running short halfway through.

Can you help me choose which pebble suits my garden?

Yes — this is one of the things we love doing. During your free site visit, we’ll discuss your garden’s colour scheme, the style of your home, and the surrounding plants before recommending a stone or pebble that ties everything together beautifully. Choosing the wrong pebble colour or size is one of the most common and avoidable garden mistakes we see.

Can you also do garden edging?

Absolutely — edging is a critical part of any pebble or paving installation. Without good edging, pebbles creep onto lawns, pathways blur into garden beds, and the finished result looks untidy. We offer steel garden edging (our most popular choice — sleek and modern), timber sleeper edging (warm and natural), and concrete mowing strips.
